Pardon …

while we make a few rennovations… I will be back and updating the site as soon as the debris clears!

Thanks for your patience!!

Music to Shop by…

Well since I am still having technical difficulties, and my “IT guy” is busy with “more important pursuits” I thought I would at least give you music to shop by… you will notice each and every song is about shoes!!

Don’t forget Elvis Presley’s Blue Suede Shoes, Elvis Costello’s (The Angels Want To Wear My) Red Shoes and who can forget all the songs about Cowboy boots?

Speaking of boots, there seem to be some good deals on shoe.com… go and check them out…

Hopefully, Mr. IT GUY will have my issues resolved soon!

It’s Time…

Unless you live in the Southern or Western part of the U.S. it’s time to put away those great sandals. Fall is here…. Now, normally I hate to see the end of summer, I love the dog days of summer and the freedom of just throwing on sandals to run out the door. The end of sandal season is a little easier to deal with since this fall, once again, boots are back with a vengeance.   Look at these Manolo Blahnik boots:

Sex in The City and the Runway

Since this blog was accidentally named after the show Sex and The City, I thought you might find this article interesting. I hate to say this, but I didn’t really watch the show. I did see several shows, just wasn’t a faithful fan.

Having said that, this reminded me of the reason why I now tune in to the re-runs when I can.

September 11th

There will be no post today - it’s a time to reflect and remember the innocent people that died 5 years ago today.

God bless and keep them all…..

Great Embellished Pumps

I love feminine flirty dresses and clothes. I also love the juxtaposition of a great men’s wear plaid shirt or shoes with great pumps. Take a look at these from Barbara Bui, which were on sale at Shoes.com yesterday… I missed it but they have a sale every Saturday.

Men’s Wear Plaid Calls for Sexy Shoes

With the new plaid, men’s wear kind of look, one must be aware of not looking like they are trying to copy the dreaded (thank God it’s over) Annie Hall look. In order to avoid that crazy look pay attention to the details… such as a great bag and shoes… like these:

or these from Loeffler Randall

These are great shoes that are feminine without being sugary…. don’t forget the all important accessory –  a great bag! Take a look at these two bags and tell me what you think.

This Stella McCartney Patent Shopper is one of my favorites,

or how about this Etro bag?

Labor Day and White Shoes

My co-worker posed this question to me yesterday. Is it still taboo to wear white shoes after Labor Day, which is not only the holiday to celebrate the workforce, it’s the “unofficial” official end to summer. I mean pools close, the seasonal businesses close… y’all know the drill.

My thought is this… in the Southern U.S. where it’s still hot, it’s not terrible. In the Northeast, well it’s chilly up here… so white shoes just look wrong.

Me?? I just can’t get past the old “rule” that one does not wear white after Labor Day…I also put away my linen… although in the case of linen, I am not sure why….

At any rate, what do you think? Fashion Do or Fashion Faux Pas?

Shoe Saint?

It seems that from this “rockumentary” comes a new (to me) saint….

Check this out… and we all love quality!! Take a listen
