One site I love is About.com, particularly Desiree Stimpert’s column on shoes.  In this article, she discusses whether or not expensive shoes are actually worth the money.  To read more go here… and then take a look at some great bargains like these cute shoes from Payless.  Saving money is never a bad thing….especially now at Christmas!

This morning just waking up, drinking my coffee I saw an American Express commercial that spoke directly to those of us that are obsessed with shoes. The commercial starts with a young girl as a baby into grade school. While she was in grade school, she sees the school nurse walk by and says to her friend, “Can you believe she is wearing white after Labor Day”? The commercial continues and we see her in a store buying something for her twin girls, when an older woman walks in the store and says they are adorable, the woman immediately thinks the woman is complimenting her shoes! I didn’t do a good job of explaining the commercial - so you will have to see it for yourself. It did however, make me laugh. The other thing I liked about the commercial was how stylishly the woman was dressed, in the new “Bermuda” shorts with the cutest open-toe pumps. Similar to these…

Recently a friend told me about some great shoes made by A. Marinelli.  Since we love shoes, I had to look… among some really cute shoes from here, I really liked these shoes. (Thanks Sleuth!)

Carlos Santana not only has been a mainstay in many musical collections, he also has a great collection of shoes. I think these pumps are perfect with slacks:

One of the reasons I love the designs of Carlos Santana is that there is something for everyone in his collection. There are cool, funky wedgies as well as “work appropriate” shoes. It’s a collection with something for everybody!!

Just like the return of Dr. Scholl’s original wooden sandals, white sandals are making a comeback.  There are so many cute styles to choose from I may have to give it up and grab a pair.  Usually,  I am not a fan of white shoes but these are cute!!
