1930 Shoes, and Sears and Roebuck

Take a look at this ad for shoes from the late 1930’s, from the old Sears.  Have you heard of Sears and Roebuck lately?  It’s just been Sears for ages!  Anyway, I am a sucker for vintage - and I love these lace up shoes, wouldn’t they look great with the wide leg, men’s fashioned pants?

I think so! Follow the catalog link and let me know…

New Year’s Resolution…Getting in Shape

If you are like me and probably a gazillion other people, you made the resolution to get back in shape.  Well here is a shoe that can help.

Newton Running Shoes have treads under the balls of your feet to ensure proper form  - these shoes make you land properly and push off properly from that spot. I have heard that at first they are a little awkward, but after that they are pure joy (as if getting is shape is joy).

They are expensive at $175, but well worth the price if they correct  form and make your run healthier.

Check them out here.

Ben Sherman

Like everyone in my office, I have the holiday hangover… love my job, but I don’t want to be working after having such long lovely stretches of time off.  Next week will be better I am sure… well, at least tomorrow is Friday.

Trying to get back into a Monday work frame of mind, I was looking for work shoes.  I saw these Ben Sherman shoes , and even though I have yet to try Ben Sherman shoes, they look cute though.

 comments  or reviews anyone?

I liked these… and to buy or take a closer look, go here.

These are cute and will great with the spring season’s flirty fuller skirts.

Happy New Year’s !

Here is to the New Year… May it be a blessed, happy prosperous New Year with lots of glorious shoes!

Heels are Embellished

Notice how fashion has become more feminine? It’s gloriously feminine.  Now, shoes, which are always the mainstay of every woman’s wardrobe are dressing up even more!

Look at the heels on these great Prada shoes.

Shopping after Christmas

Well according the the Budget Fashionista, DSW is a great find for those of us that love shoes, especially designer shoes on a shoestring budget.  Desiree Stimpert of About, also weighs in that DSW is worthy of a trip.  Since there isn’t a store close to me, I will weigh in on this subject once I have had a chance to visit some relatives that live in close proximity to a store.

Can’t wait to go shopping… after all Christmas has come and gone, and I have been a very good girl this year!

1979 Revisted

These Stella McCartney remind me of the shoes I wore to the prom… in 79/80 - (dating myself here).  I know that these are a lot nicer, and since they are crafted in Italy, I am sure even more comfortable.  Take a look at these…

so very retro, so very cute.

New England Weather

If you are stuck in the New England, Midwest winter… then after a White Christmas you know it’s time to plan that February winter cruise.  Check out the shoes for lounging by the pool… by Jimmy Choo.

Platform Heels

The wedge of the last few years has given way to the more subtle platform heels, especially now while it’s fall/winter.

These are gorgeous and a little easier on the feet than stiletto heels.   Also the “men’s wear” trousers look much better with a strong heel, Check out these from Pedro Garcia

Bakers Shoes

I stumbled upon this site, but what a great site.  They have some great special offerings and here is but a sampling of the boots they have.
